What is artificial intelligence?
Put simply, artificial intelligence means that machines and devices can take decisions independently and that they are capable of learning by themselves. An example of this is an algorithm that searches for retrievable objects. Imagine that a database contains information on the best place to retrieve a number of objects in order to optimize product handling. The algorithm is self-learning if it is able to determine – based on known data – the best place to retrieve an object that is not yet included in that database.
The advantages of artificial intelligence
The use of artificial intelligence (also known as AI) can generate significant gains in terms of process optimization. Some of the advantages of AI are:
- Less human intervention, which means fewer human errors;
- Tasks that previously required a lot of manpower can be automated;
- Automated process optimization.

When the machine scans an unknown product, it can add this product to its database and automatically recognize it next time.

You always have access to your own data, and all stored information is used to continuously optimize your processes. You can also choose to store your data on your own server.
