ARCO camera and vision systems identify products and make instant routing decisions. With a wide field of view and high-definition imaging, the camera captures a clear picture of each parcel, carton or bag. It reads shipping labels when a laser scanner falls short, verifies what must happen next and keeps your sortation flow under control.

As an item enters the station, the unit takes an image, decodes the label and assigns a destination. The controller then actuates the right diverter or lane. Decisions can run on the edge, so the line keeps moving without calls to higher-level software. When required, the system links to your WMS or WCS to log every read and surface exceptions for quick correction.

The result is higher throughput and fewer mis-sorts. Installations fit easily above conveyors and scale across lines. Captured images and read results provide traceability and feed KANSI dashboards, giving your team the insight needed to improve performance every day.

How Camera & vision systems work in practice

As each parcel enters the vision station, a camera captures a high-definition image across a wide field. The software decodes shipping labels, checks print quality and, using preconfigured rules, assigns a destination. The controller actuates the diverter and the item moves to the correct lane without waiting for a call to higher-level software. When needed, the system exchanges data with the WMS or WCS to record the read and update status. It handles cartons, polybags and irregular shapes in many sizes. Unknown or unreadable items are flagged on screen and routed to a rework lane. Images are stored for traceability and training.
